The Commission for Looted Art in Europe is seeking a motivated and experienced German-speaking historian as a full-time researcher in London

The successful candidates will become a key member of our specialist team, and provide original research and guidance for our archival researchers and art historians.  As part of the team, you will be involved in international research projects to assist in documenting, identifying and tracing works of art which were seized in the 1933-1945 Nazi era and not returned to their rightful owners or heirs.

A competitive applicant will have good, preferably fluent, German, an MA or PhD, strong art historical or historical knowledge and background, and proven research expertise and experience.  Exceptional research and organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail and resourcefulness are all essential.  Knowledge of one or more other European languages, art looting operations and relevant research resources are desirable.
